2. Chronicle 7, verse 14,

if my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray,

and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven,

and will forgive their sin and will heal their land?

Well, we see healing here, don't we?

We're talking about healing.

This is a very familiar portion of scripture to many Christians.

It's used frequently, talking about any number of subjects, not the least of which is prayer

and seeking God, repentance, proclaimed to a nation.

And these principles are true whether you're talking to a nation or to an individual.

The principles are the same.

But he is talking about physical healing in this passage as well as a broader scope.

If you look up in the previous verses, you see that he mentioned pestilence being in the land.

And that was one of the occasions of them praying and calling on the Lord.

Pestilence, if you understand in the King James language, that means plagues, physical diseases and problems.

And he said if they would do the things that he required, that he would hear, he would forgive, he would heal.

But what's the first thing in this verse that he said we're to do?

Humble ourselves.

My people, called by my name, that's us.

If we would humble ourselves, you know, I think sometimes people miss that part, don't

they?

They run over to the pray part, seek God part, repent part, and that's all important, but
