I'm so excited to have with me, Dr. Christine Marie, who is a friend and a colleague.

She is an educator, author, media psychologist.

And I might add, Christine, you got your doctorate from Fielding Graduate University and encouraged me to go to Fielding.

Yes, I did.

And you were my reader, you are my student reader for my dissertation on the byte model

of authoritarian control.

And thanks for that.

But I'm going to go back to your bio.

You have an amazing story.

And you had your own experience with cult-based sex trafficking.

And in fact, we did a panel together for the first time connecting cults

and trafficking officially. And you were amazing to share your story then. And you've done an

amazing dissertation research and you've won awards for it.

But I just want to finish the reading your bio and then we'll get into it.

You're very interested in survivor stories, the whole issue of victim blaming,

public shaming, media misrepresentation, life stories of people, and post-dramatic growth, as opposed to just PTSD. Also, and I've said this to you, and forgive me if I make you blush, but I think

you're a saint. You're amazing. You and your husband, Tolga,

you are living in Colorado City, Arizona, amongst FLDS, fundamentalist Latter-day Saints,

the polygamous offshoot or the original version of Mormonism before the main LDS church said we're not

doing that anymore. But you're living to help people who were raised in this a version of a madrasa,

a compound, a set of cities.
