Hello my friends Carrie Green back here with you for the morning mind cell.

This is our opportunity to get our minds aligned with God's truth for this day. Don't worry about tomorrow. Don't worry about the next day. Just focus on today that your mind can be thinking God's thoughts after him.

Friends, I was thinking as I prepared for this episode about back when our children were very, very small,

and I know every parent has had this experience where you're holding your child and they're in kind of a playful mood and they just

rare back and whack you in the face and they're so young they don't understand that

they're being rough with you that they're actually capable of hurting you and

what do you do in those moments? Well my wife would

grab their hand and say no do not hit mommy or daddy be gentle and then we

would rub their hands softly on our face to show them the contrast of what we wanted them to do.

And we would say that word, gentle, be gentle, and we would say it in a way that represents gentleness.

Well that's important for us to understand that concept of gentleness

because today we're going to be looking at what it means to walk in a manner worthy of the calling

we've received.

What does it mean to live in a manner that represents the purpose Jesus has put us on the planet to do.

Now before we get into that, I want to remind you, we have two other podcasts.

One is for Christian parenting and one is for Christian marriage.

And my wife have had a little bit of a hiatus

from that podcast, but we're making plans right now

to get back on track to be in recording new episodes.
