What makes humans a special?

What's the secret of our success?

We have the most expressive faces in the whole animal kingdom.

We have the unique ability to blush.

We involuntarily give away our feelings.

So we're evolved to trust each other.

Yeah.

And even though we're individually not that special,

collectively we're incredibly, incredibly smart.

And I think that doesn't necessarily mean that we're naturally good,

because people can also do horrible things, you know,

when they're working together.

And there's also real dark sides who are friendliness, you know,

our groupishness, tribal behavior.

I will say if I wanted to get someone to adopt very violent behaviors,

I would put them side by side like make it so that you're like protecting each other.

I would put a mask or a visor on you make it so that you actually

aren't making like eye contact or a campus scene.

Exactly.

It did make me reflect on what the United States is experiencing right now.

Yeah.
