Well, good morning and thank you everybody for joining us here at the National Shrine of the Divine Mercy.

We are coming to you live here, live streamed from Stockbridge, Massachusetts.

And today's topic is one that some might say, well, Father, why are you talking about this?

Well, because the church has just issued some recent statements about the criticalness of

this topic and raising awareness. We're going to be talking today about human trafficking,

sex trafficking, and people might say, well, Father, that's a political and social issue. Actually, it's the most

religious issue because souls are at stake, not just because of the perpetrators, but also those who do

the trafficking. They are souls that are majorly in trouble. So we have to talk

about this, raise awareness, and help protect the victims most of all. This is a critical topic,

so we appreciate you joining us as I was telling the group here at the Shrine today. As I was finishing doing my research late last night, I really had a hard time

sleeping because of what these statistics show us and what is happening in reality. And so let us

begin with a prayer in the name of the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. Amen. Heavenly Father,

we ask that you please help us

to help this world that is so broken

to be able to give us the grace, to open our hearts,

to receive that grace, to turn away from defilement

and these issues that have threatened so many souls.

We ask, Lord God, that you give us the purity of Mary as an example to be able to live chastely

and to be able to care for the most vulnerable.

And we ask St. Faustina that you intercede for us today here at your shrine. And we hope and ask and beg and plead for your mercy on the victims and the perpetrators.

And we ask all this through Christ, our Lord.
