Welcome to The Next Picture Show, a movie that week podcast of a classic film and how it shaped our thoughts on a recent release. I'm Keith Phipps here with Tasha Robinson, Scott Tobias, and Genevieve Koski.

Co-hosts, we recently released our 500th episode, which roughly coincided with 10 years of doing this podcast. Before we leave reflection behind for good, I have one last question.

What's one movie you've always wanted to talk about on the show that we haven't covered yet?

Well, I feel like I recently got a one that I'd been wanting to do for a long time, which is Joe Wright's Pride and Prejudice.

I kind of wish we had had a better movie to pair it with than materialists.

Sorry, materialists fans.

But I was very happy to get around to that.

But I think still my next picture show, White Whale, is clueless.

Oh, yeah.

We did miss a great opportunity to do that with the version of Emma that was

released in 2020. It was sort of a COVID victim theatrical release wise. That particular

version of Emma would have been a very, very nice pairing with Clueless. Yeah, it's a good movie.

But, you know, I mean, they remake Emma every 10 years or so. So, you know, maybe for our 1,000th episode, we'll get to do Clueless. Only 10 years from now. I feel like I kind of did yours as a bonus episode where you had Elliot Kaelin from the, from the flop house on to talk about the fall. I mean, that, that was a delight. I certainly wish we could get celebrity guests in to discuss every movie that I love. We have a potential pairing coming up that would hit one of the ones that I have recommended multiple times in this podcast and stump for all of the time, like one of my all-time favorite movies, Hirokazu, Koryeda's afterlife, which would pair pretty

nicely with Eternity. That might be our next pairing or we might do something else. We've got
