This happened late one night on the way home from a convenience store.

The ghost of a woman was clinging to the rails of an apartment, trying desperately to

look through the curtains of a first-floor

window, into the well-lit room inside. She was pale and thin, with long hair to her waist,

and wearing a white dress with puffy sleeves and a ribbon on the back. Her face resembled

Oywa Sands, and there was a faint smile on her lips.

It was clear at a glance that she wasn't in her right mind.

She was the perfect example of a Shoah era ghost, and I found myself thinking how rare that was these days,

but then suddenly it hit me.

She wasn't seethru. She had substance to her.

That wasn't a ghost. That was a real live person. I ran away from there as fast as I could.
