In London, Berlin, and other cities this week, a radical arm of the climate change movement

kicked off two weeks of planned protests.

It's called the Extinction Rebellion.

The tactics may be considered extreme, didn't get a lot of coverage, but the name

has brought new attention to an issue raised on Trevor Noah's The Daily Show by the 16-year-old

Swedish activist Greta Toonberg. We are right now in the beginning of the sixth mass extinction,

and people don't know these things. Up to 200 species go extinct every single day.

The sixth extinction is the name of a book by Elizabeth Colbert. She is a staff writer at the

New Yorker and a contributor to the National Geographic. She's written the text to a company

photos of extinct or endangered species called
