unexplained. I'm Sean the host for this episode. This time on Strange Matters I will be discussing the

strange events surrounding the death of a man named Ub de la Plaza who would

die under mysterious and controversial circumstances. Oug would be found alone in his locked apartment, having died from several fatal knife wounds.

Despite there being a number of unusual facts surrounding his death, such as no knife ever being found in his apartment, the police would rule his death no knife ever being found in his apartment.

The investigation and resulting backlash of Oog's death

would spark controversy and debate over how the police conducted themselves, and

over what exactly happened the night that Oug de la Plaza died.

In this episode I will be going over the details of the night of his death, the police and medical

investigation that followed, and the different sides of the story that have been

put forth to attempt to solve this strange case. The death of Ub della Plaza

has been considered a case of what is known as a locked room mystery.

The locked room mystery is a setup that is found commonly in crime or detective novels or short stories,

in which a person is found dead or murdered in the titular locked room,

a scenario in which there is no clear explanation as to how anyone got in or out.

These crimes and potential murders are often referred to having happened

under impossible circumstances, and because of the total lack of clues or explanation are sometimes

brought up as examples of a perfect murder.
