I don't like to fib to you guys, so I do need to start the show and come clean. I basically just held the live chat hostage. Colin and Jesse, I don't know if you were paying attention, but I typed right here, right here in the box. I'm not starting to show until you give me a certain amount of lights. Now, it just so happens that we hit that number right at the top of the hour, but I do need to tell you we were going to start the show anyway.

But I appreciate the likes. Man, I appreciate it. It's that kind of show that gives you the tingleys,

because even though it's Sunday, February 2nd, the year of our Lord of 2025, which a more casually minded person would call the offseason.

We've got breaking news all over the place.

but we would be no matter what time of year.

is going to present an entirely new landscape of college football to you tonight, one in which conferences fill out what a conference should fill out again instead of what they've been twisted into becoming.

Let's see, what else do we have tonight? We got spring games possibly being canceled. Shame on the wrong adults in the room. You see kids, it's not enough to have adults in the room. You got to have the right adults in the room, or else it's worth no more than you guys, the kids, who I'm talking to being in the room. There was a big trade in the NBA. I don't know if you heard. LeBron and I were out to dinner last night, not together, mind you, but we were both

at dinner when the news broke, which I will proceed to not discuss at all on the show tonight.

However, many of you apparently do subject yourselves to NBA regular season action, and you

ask me, could this stuff ever happen in college football? What would the equivalent be in college

football? Or, and I want you to hear me carefully, theoretically, hypothetically, I always thought

they were interchangeable. Could trades ever happen down the road? You know, there's a big drumbeat.

You hear it. It's getting louder. It's getting louder. Folks want players to be employees. Well,

what all comes along with that?
