Well, I am joined for a quick conversation by Gemma Ryan, who is one of our contributors to this year's Holy Spirit conference.

We'll be hearing from her teaching tonight.

But before we get there, I wanted to give Gemma the opportunity to share a little bit of

equipping on hearing the voice of God.

But before we jump into that, just by way of introduction, Gemma, will you just share a little

bit about who you are, what your life is like, that sort of thing?

Sure.

Hi, everyone.

I'm so happy to be here.

So as Tyler said, my name is Gemma. I live in Northern Ireland. Anyone ever been? Yeah? I live there with my husband John. We've been married for about 16 years. We have four wild and spirited young children. And we moved back to Northern Ireland about a year and a half ago.

We previously lived here in the US, first in California for a couple of years,

and then in Brooklyn, New York for 10, where we met Tyler and Kirsten.

We got to be part of a wonderful community there in Brooklyn.

And right now, my life is, I'm a full-time stay-at-home mom,

so my life is very domestic.

And I get to just be home with our kids.

We host a lot of people, so we have a practice of hospitality

that we love to engage in.

And when I'm not with my kids in the evenings and at other times, I am serving as a spiritual

director, and I also teach as an adjunct teaching professor for Friends University, their

Masters in Spiritual Formation Program.
