Are they working on a long-term contract extension because he's then eligible for it for the first time?

Will they pick up the fifth-year option?

By the way, it's very possible, and I already talked about this, that they pick up the fifth-year option,

but then they work towards a long-term

deal in the offseason, 2027. And that long-term deal could happen before the May 1st deadline

for the fifth-year option or could happen after. You pick up the fifth-year option, it doesn't

stop you from negotiating a longer-term deal.

It just guarantees you that if you don't get a long-term deal done,

that the fourth season won't be the last season for the player.

I think you'll end up with long-term contract extensions for Caleb Williams, Drake, May, and Jaden Daniels in the offseason

of 2027. And I think the idea that the fifth year option, if they didn't sign them to a long-term

deal, wouldn't get picked up, is insanity. But that's what Jason and emailer suggested was a possibility,

which is why we're talking about this, because we are a year

away. And we obviously will have a lot more information, as in a full season of information and data

to pull from. Let's go to Steve and Columbia. Steve, which of the three, long-term contract extension,

They're going to, based on how Adam Peters seems to roll, they're going to do probably the fifth-year option. But what I don't understand about somebody's so-called fans, don't they realize who Jaden Daniels is, and that he is the ultimate competitor. He's going to come out on fire this year. Because he should have, tonsils should have been re-signed by now. Or, you know, I don't get it. I don't know by now, but I think it should definitely happen before training camp. I would can, I'd like to see it happen before any of the offseason activities.

I just think they need to get a head start on everything.
