I got into the Olympics late in the Olympics last week, but we talked a lot about Michaela Schifrin.

Michaela Schifrin sent the following tweet at the end of the Olympics.

That is really unbelievable.

You rarely see that happen publicly from coaches or players or athletes.

Barry's Verluga joins us right now.

And the news with Barry and several others from the post is that they are heading to the athletic.

I'm going to get to what Michaela Schifrin wrote to you on X, on Twitter in a moment.

But I knew certainly that Barry's Reluga wasn't going to be out there for very long after, you know, the news about the Washington Post Sports Section ending.

So I'm, you know, so grateful and thankful and excited because I get to do a version of the job that I've always wanted to do.

I'm going to be with Nikki Jabal, our great beatwriter,

formerly a teammate of mine at the Post, out in Ashburn,

doing probably a more commander's heavy version of my old job.

Like instead of going out there once a week and for the games,

I'll be out covering the commanders on a more daily basis,

more regular training camp stuff.

But I'll also be able to weigh in and do my, you know, old columnist gig with,

whether it's holding the learner's feet to the fire with the gnats
