I got to tell you all about the time that it was my first day at a new job,

0:11.2

and I walk into the office. I'm greeted by the CHRO and my new co-workers.

0:18.9

It was a very small HR department.

0:21.4

There was me, the HCHRO, a benefits manager, and then a recruiter, and just little old me, right?

0:28.6

I was a good 10 years, though, already in my career, okay?

0:31.8

And we're welcoming, and the recruiter was like, I actually brought breakfast for us to welcome

0:37.2

you. And it was so nice.

0:38.3

As a matter of fact, that person is still one of my work besties 10 plus years later. So she was

0:44.3

very welcoming and she was great. And the CHR, oh, looks at me. Remember, first day, I literally just

0:50.3

walked in the door and she was like, oh, you should go get us some coffees and some forks and

0:54.0

knives.

0:55.0

You?

0:55.4

Oh my gosh.

0:56.3

Welcome.

0:57.0

Now, do keep in mind, I'm 10 years in.

1:00.1

I'm above entry level.

1:02.1

I'm like mid-level at this point.

1:04.6

I'm probably the youngest, though, still, between the three of them.

1:08.6

So now I'm the fourth, right?

1:10.6

And I looked shocked because not because I wouldn't go get the coffee and the forks, but I don't even know where the fuck to go, right? Oh, yeah. I literally just walked in the building. Right. So, you're like, I'll go to McDonald. Can you be our bitch? I was, I was like, okay. So thank gosh, I'm going to actually shout out my work bestie. Her name is Brandy. She looks at me and she's like, hey girl, come here. I'm going to show you where they're at. So she knew enough, like how fucking ridiculous is that? So she takes me to the kitchen and she helps me get, you know, figure out coffee orders essentially and getting forks and knives. And she was like, don't worry, she's a bitch like that. And I'm telling you that solidified our relationship that we're still friends to say. I think that was in 20, yeah, 2014. But she couldn't say that during the interview. Well, you know what? She thought he needed a work, she's like, I need her. I need her. Yeah. I should have known, honestly, in the interview because I interviewed with the recruiter and the benefits manager during my interview, and it was great. And we all vibed so well. It was an incredible interview. And then the CHRO came in. And just the questions she were asking, they were off-color questions.

2:19.7

I wish I could remember.

2:20.6

She asked something if I was married.
