Good morning. How are you doing? Well, it is the most, I think, the most optimistic day of the Red Sox season, always opening day. Hope Springs Eternal and big expectations, I'm sure, not only from us as fans, but from you and from everybody else when it comes to this baseball team this season?

Sure. I think that's fair. We set out this offseason to build a team that we thought could compete for the division and make a deep postseason run.

We wake up this morning ready to put that plan into action.

I do think there's a lot of excitement around the team.

It was a productive spring.

It was great to watch the identity of this team emerge.

I think on the whole, we played good defense, put the ball in play.

We let the athleticism show in terms of running the bases

and know that starting

pitching should be a strength of this team and give us a chance to win every night.

Craig, you told us, you know, before the offseason that one area that you wanted to improve

that you were looking to get a power bat in the lineup. You got guys missed out on that.

And so we've kind of been trying to figure out like projections of certain players, you know,

Roman Anthony has projected hit 25 plus home runs.

How do you as an organization look at players and figure out where you might project them to be statistically?

I think, I think this is a topic of conversation and has been for a long time in that every team uses

projection models and collects a bunch of information and tries to make the best prediction
