Excellent post-show argument yesterday between the bland manager Ken Laird and my guy Wiggy on whether or not Metallica was the first heavy metal band ever since we were talking about Metallica and why they should be the halftime show for the Super Bowl, as opposed to T. Swift.

And so you suggested, Ken later suggested those guys, Judas Priest.

Right, right.

You were suggesting wisely, I think, Black Sabbath may have been the, but then I think you feel like

Metallica gets most of the credit for heavy metal going mainstream. Yeah, like I'm not like I'm not a giant heavy metal fan so I don't know a lot about it. I mean, I do agree with the one. Carlos Cheyne was an idiot when he says that Metallicus. But I feel like, you know. He'll never live that down. I feel like Metallica. There may be violence when you run. Some listeners yesterday were threatening violence on you for saying Metallica's things.

That's how I know I'm right.

Because if you need to defend it that aggressively, you know there's some truth to it.

I feel like Metallica was the first, like, they were like heavy metal in the early 90s for them, they changed it from the hair band of rock and roll, which was guns.
