A big hour, lots to get to.

It looks like it stopped raining. It's supposed to be just cloudy all day to day. We've got lots to talk about. We'll get to Sleepy Joe. And we'll get to, well, I imagine we'll get right to it. Everybody is doing a podcast. Isn't this annoying? It doesn't bother you? No. I mean, everybody's free to do do it well but uh you know you don't have to

listen to them no but we're in the audio business here and it's like television you know back in

the beginning was like three networks and you had all these great programs next thing you know

you had 30 networks then you had 100 networks then you had 2,000 networks, then you had YouTube with

50 million people all doing their own videos and their own channels, and now it's happening

to audio, everybody has a podcast, my dentist has a podcast, everybody here has a podcast.

You know, I mean, some of them are worth listening to, some are not.

Yeah, but the problem is 2% are worth listening to, and 98% are babbling amateurs.

There's two kinds of podcasts.

A big study has been done.

There's the, you know, it's very big in these podcasts is NPR.

Really?

Well, think about it, because, you know, we're like fast-paced, great talk radio, NPR. Really? Well, think about it because, you know, we're like fast-paced great talk radio.

NPR is like Sleepy Joe.

It takes them 40 minutes to say hello.

So the podcast format is perfect for them.

There's the serial podcast, you know, the big ones that get, they get big numbers,

where they tell you about some murder the guy that killed

four people in north carolina in nineteen fifty six and it's still being investigated i don't know

why anybody listens to that so there's those kind of a sort of like documentary storytelling
