There we go. All right. And so here's an amazing thing, Mays. Yeah. Maxi is from the same town in Germany that Dirk Novitsky came. Wow. Was Dirk, when you were growing up, was Dirk an inspiration for you?

Oh, 100%.

Yeah, he was like the biggest basketball figure that we had in Germany.

And of course, my idol, yeah.

Yeah.

And so when you came, your basketball career develops, you end up with the Mavericks.

With Dirk, what was that like for you?

It was unreal.

You know, I saw the last two years of his career, which was very special for me, you know, growing up in the same hometown. So, you know, just having those memories is very unique and, you know, I will always cherish them. What was last season like, obviously, traded in the middle of the season, crazy journey, all this. By the way, it's a little known fact.

Max, I don't know if anyone will ever do this again. He played in one game. Yep. It was a playoff game. Oh, right, right. And that's it. Yeah. Right? I don't know if anybody will ever do that again. What was this journey to the Lakers like? It was very interesting. you know, first time being traded.

I don't know if you guys know, but I had surgery right before too.

So it was crazy. And obviously, like, just being part of that size of a trade is unbelievable. So it's like you know the stories. And I'm guessing you thought, like we did, there's no way Luke has ever getting traded. Yeah, I thought it was a joke. Did you believe it when you heard it?

I mean, I had to believe it because I was asleep.

Oh, because you was asleep.

I was asleep. I was in the trade. I was asleep. I wake up, check my phone. I'm like, why do I have so many messages? And then everybody I see like, oh, Luca trade, Luca trade. And I'm like, okay, like, that could have, like, interesting, but still, then I open up the text and it's like, oh, Max Cleaver is part of it.

I'm like, oh, shoot, i guess i'm out of here too so that's how i went down yeah all right so you're you're going from a franchise in dallas that was successful to one of the two greatest franchises in NBA history playing for the lakers um what's that like for you and did you know about the lake obviously you were a basketball kid in germany did you know about the lake? Obviously, you were a basketball kid in Germany.

Did you know about the Lakers growing up in Germany?

Of course.
