As we continue to allow the holy rule to help shape our life, we're going to take a look at a very important topic in place of idealistic spirituality, acknowledging one's needs.

Now, that's quite the challenge for the role.

Can it meet that challenge?

That is a challenge for every human being, I would say.

Let me start by reading parts of a chapter of the Rudolph St. Benedict, Chapter 8, the divine office at night.

During the winter season, that is, from the 1st of November until Easter,

it seems reasonable to arise at the 8th hour of the night.

By sleeping until a little past the middle of the night,

the brothers can arise with their food fully digested.
