but fixed and oversimplified image of an idea or particular type of person or thing.

Now, as a black man, I'm sure I have never, ever been stereotyped, ever.

But everyone else?

Sure, of course.

Take the entire state of Florida, for example.

We all know about Florida.

They've inadvertently given us Florida man, which we used to describe any guy from Florida

who does something

just weird or idiotic, like the man who swam in an alligator-infested waters.

Well, he ended up losing his life.

Not because of the alligators attacked him, you see, but because when he got out of the water,

he decided to charge armed cops with a pair of garden shears.

Because that's something that people in Florida choose to do.

And it's hard to get more Florida man than that.

Except maybe the other guy.

And Florida, he was arrested after a stabbing because he stabbed the bull shark.

And he stabbed the bull shark because the bull shark in his eyes had stolen his fish. Ah, Florida.

Now, sometimes you can be the stereotype of yourself. Take Tom Cruise. He just earned his first

Guinness world record. And because it's Tom Cruise, his record, of course, relates to stunt work.
