demographic. Super duper. That's nice. Way to go. Need-oh game. That was good news. It is the 26th day of

January 2026. Good morning, everybody. My name is Chris Hockey. Like so many of you,

we at the Power Trip Morning Show are deeply shaken by what happened in Minneapolis this weekend

and by everything that continues to unfold in our city and in our state. We're also very aware

of the controversy involving our own radio station, and we know some of you are tuning in right now and today wondering how we're going to address all of it. Well, the truth is, each of us on this show, as you can imagine, has our own thoughts and feelings. We are human. We're Minnesotans, and we are hurting, too. But if you've listened to this show for any length of time, you also know what we are and what we are not.

And so do we.

Situations as serious as all of these things happening around us deserve informed voices, careful reporting, and real expertise.

An uneducated opinion, especially right now, can do more harm than good, and that's not

something any of us wants to be responsible for.

So we've made a deliberate choice.

We're going to do this show the best way we know how in the middle of all this.

That decision may feel like a mistake to some of you, and it may feel like a relief to others,

but please know we didn't make this lightly.

We spent a lot of time wrestling with how to come on the air after yet another tragedy.

If you're looking for deep analytical coverage of the news, we sincerely encourage you to find

it from voices elsewhere on the dial. Our wider radio family is filled with talented people

who are better equipped to

deliver that kind of content. And if there is breaking news that demands our attention, I promise

you we won't ignore it. We are ready to pivot at any moment. What we won't do is pretend to have

answers we don't have. We do acknowledge the pain and the fear and the anger in our community.

We see the suffering. We feel it.
