Dan, certainly no stranger to the show.

Ben, man, we, uh, I think we feel, we feel like we timed it pretty good getting out

here when we did.

We had a snowstorm coming in and we shot a 8-man

Mallard limit last night in the field.

And one thing I was gonna ask you

is I know you guys don't hunt a lot of evenings like that. What are the conditions that kind of make that sort of, you know, where it all aligned for us like you did last night?

Cold. Usually forgien. for us like you did last night? Um, cold.

Usually for geese, like if we're going to hunt in the evening,

uh, the little geese suspects,

a lot of times snows will still go out,

but if it's below, like if it's around 20

degrees or blow and not a lot of wind a lot of times those little geese aren't

going to fly and if they do fly they're just going to go water to water so

on every client's first two days we've got that leniency to be able to go out in the afternoon instead of the morning. So like they're doing upland we'll go up and hunt in the morning when there's no wind and probably frost and then we'll go hunt in the afternoon

when there's good wind you know sunshine and and you know decoys that are clean there's no frost on them.

So let me ask another question because you know a lot of guys you know we talk about

wind a lot and wind being a good thing but like I'm not'm not sure, you know, if someone's listening to the, if this is the first podcast I've ever listened to about hunting or they're getting into it, like, like, why is wind such like the magic piece a lot of times it just pulls everything together.

It just gives the birds a direction.
