You know, if you yell one decibel ladder, I might finally wake up.

It's been a rough last 12 hours or whatever it's been from a sleep deprivation standpoint.

What time did you get in?

Let's see.

I had like 3.30, I think, something like that.

By the time I got to the hotel, but the time I had it, it was like 4.30.

How big of a moment, Howie, was that for you personally?

Before we get into the team aspect, for you personally?

You know, a lot of times you appreciate it more down the road.

And now that we're in the age of social media

where I can see the reaction to it as I have and been so totally overwhelmed by

it I'm aware of the moment's magnitude because of a home run you know forget

the call it's just you know the home run and what it meant to the Mets and means to the Mets and

certainly what it meant to Pete.

I mean, you think of the narrative and I tried to get into that as he came

in the batters box last night.

It might very well have been his last plate appearance as a MET.

And when you consider the struggles that he'd endured recently sort of punctuated by that drop foul pop-up it there was a mess to it that

you really hope that Pete would somehow be able to overcome and he he overcame it in the most dramatic, tremendous way possible that I know will resonate

years to come, but I think, and I'll compare it.
