Is it surreal what this team has done? I know they've been great for a while but like I'm standing there last

night thinking I can't believe we're witnessing this and this is happening again

what was going through your mind as everything yeah well there was some of that and I

got to tell you what else I'm thinking because, and this applies to you, Evan, and your entire generation, and even the one that, and I know you have a child, but it's also a little too early for him I think to really understand it all

It's time for the younger generation of Mets fans to have a championship team they can latch on to

and have the same kind of emotions 40-50 plus years down the road that I do about the guys from

the 69 team and the 86 team all I could think of is you know I'm the old guy now so I

look to my right in the booth and there's Keith Red and I got my daughters are in his age range and I look at the stands out in front of me and so many of them they're so young and when it comes to Mets post-season

baseball inexperienced that I just I want this for them as well as much as I want

selfishly to be able to call amidst world championship, but moreover, it's

for the fans and particularly the younger one.
