I was just talking with my comrade here about how the Patriots defense is allowing a lot of big plays.

It's uncharacteristic.

I was informing Hardy because he's not, didn't seem aware of that.

What are the reasons you're seeing there?

What is the problem this year with the big plays?

I think you've got some new bodies in there working out some communication issues.

Belichick obviously installing the defense.

It's a work in progress.

I mean, last year they kind of remade the defense on the fly in week 10 or around that time.

And this year it's, I think he's just kind of trying a lot of different things with a lot of

different guys seeing what works what doesn't and you know yesterday there was you know one

instance when Gilmore gets pancake right at the line of scrimmage Coleman gets wide open as a

result you know there's that's not communication.

That's just a lack of execution.

So there's a, again, it's a work in progress.

Well, there were two strange benchings, I guess you could call them yesterday.

The Allen Branch one was definitely strange because I think he only got six snaps yesterday. But then he had his helmet off. Yeah. And then Malcolm Butler not starting. And I know some people were saying it was matchups, but I don't think that it's ever been a matchup situation over the past couple of years of Malcolm Butler.
