Evening everybody. Welcome to another episode of Why You Laughing, a history of comedy podcast.

And today I am pleased to introduce to you Howard Stern versus Don Imus, a heavily

requested episode ever since we started doing Howard Stern episodes, really. People people have said you got to cover his rivalry with Don Imus and in a lot of ways I think Howard's feud with Imas might be richer than his rivalry with Opie and Anthony because Opie and Anthony were always the instigators there and Howard I mean we talked, we talked about it in a previous episode, but Howard literally put a

gag order on Opin Anthony.

So he would mention them occasionally in passing, but there were never this, from Howard's

angle at least, there were never these long Opie and Anthony segments.

You know, there weren't these full, rich, meaty things you could sink your

teeth into and do and do a deep dive into Howard bashing O&A, where there is literally a seven-hour

compilation just of Howard talking about the, IMS getting fired. So that tells you how often

Howard and Imus did battle throughout their years in radio.

And like I said, a lot of Howard Stern fans suggested this episode.

So long overdue to dive in.

And we will discuss, you know, how things changed over the years.
