This is the mop-up. I'm David Feldman in New York City. U.S. Central Command is reporting that

three American destroyers that were going through the Strait of Hormuz today attacked by

Iranian missiles, drones, and small boats. Centcom says they were able to knock those missiles out of the sky and do damage

to the drones and small boats. But the U.S. said they targeted Iranian military facilities that

they claim were responsible for the attacks and the Iranian military is now accusing

the United States of violating the ceasefire.

We are getting reports of explosions in and around Tehran.

Now you might have known that right before these attacks began, the Iranians said they were looking at a one-page

peace proposal that the two countries were pouring over. It was a short-term agreement.

It called for the United States lifting its blockade, and Iran would open the Strait of Hormuz to commercial traffic.

This would go for 30 days.

The one obstacle, according to the White House, is that Iran give a full-throated commitment to giving up its nuclear enrichment program,

as well as its stockpile of highly enriched uranium.

We know that the Iranians gave up their nuclear weapons program in 2003.

They have been enriching uranium up to about 60%.

That started about two years after Donald Trump pulled out of the nuclear deal with Iran that Obama signed in 2015. He tore it up in 2018 by 2020.

Iran was enriching uranium because there was no deal. There was no deal because Trump got

rid of it. Meanwhile, Shell out with its quarterly results today, profits for Shell Oil more than

doubled since the war began. I'll have more on that later on on the show and why Trump is going to keep this going for the foreseeable future.

There are two people who put Trump into office, the oil companies and Vladimir Putin,

both who benefit from the Strait of Hormuz being closed. He lifted sanctions on Russian oil after Hormuz was closed he

doesn't want this to stop he doesn't care how it affects the rest of the world
