this is Vectator's Daily and sometimes more than daily,

politics podcast.

I'm Katie Balls, and I'm joined by James for Cypher and Kate Andrews,

and we're going to be bringing you a special edition of the podcast later

from Liverpool and Labour Conference where I am.

But before we get to that, the big news really in Westminster

and the country today relates to Liz Trust's not so many budget.

James, we saw obviously the pound drop against the dollar on Friday.

We saw lots of warnings from economists,

soon after those measures were unveiled by quasi-quartan had chance there.

Obviously over the weekend there weren't any updates,

but how are things looking since the markets have reopened?

So the pound fell to historic low overnight in Asian trading.

It's recovered somewhat from there.

I personally think the focus on the pound is actually a bit of a distraction,

but that is not the biggest issue here.
