Let's get into the word. Colossus chapter 4. Pardon me. And only two verses today, verses 5 and 6.

I'll have you turn there, and once you do, if you're able, I'll ask you to stand. You can follow along as I read.

The Apostle Paul, by Holy Spirit is writing and says, verse 5, be wise in the way you act toward

outsiders. Make the most of every opportunity.

Let your conversation, verse 6, be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may

know how to answer everyone.

Loving Heavenly Father, we're so grateful to you for your word and this portion that we have before us

this morning.

But we're also keenly aware that unless the Holy Spirit gets our attention and holds our

attention, we're going to miss what it is that you desire

to minister to us today. So we want to ask you to help us give you our undivided attention

so our minds don't wander so that you can speak into our lives in and through your

word. We ask you for this in Jesus' name. Amen and amen. You can be seated. Thank you.

I want to talk with you today about how we as God's people treat other people, especially those who are not believers.

And the reason why is because here in these two verses, Paul is

is exhorting us concerning the paramount importance of how we act toward others.

So as I usually do during the course of a week in anticipation of a Sunday morning sermon,

I spend some time in prayer, I seek the Lord concerning the text, and how I should approach the text in teaching it.

And this week I discerned and sensed that the Lord would have me to take the approach of posing a series of questions.

So what follows are five questions within these two verses that I think every one of us would do well to answer. And let's start
