biblically about everything. This is evidence for the Bible Part 12 and here we are talking about how we got our new testament

how we got the new testament text the canonization you might call it.

We talked about the old testament last time and that helps us out a lot for today if you can recall that or you might

want to go re-watch the teaching on YouTube. But first things first, the most

important issue and we covered this before, the most important issue really is

this. If there is a

canon and by that I don't just mean a list but an authoritative group of texts that

comes from God if a canon exists then it exists whether man recognizes it or not.

It may be sitting in a corner somewhere and nobody pays any attention to it, but yet there

it is.

There's a canon.

There's a list of things that God has said that

were written down. Now if there's no canon, if there's no actual

authoritative teaching from God, then it doesn't matter what books you cobble

together those aren't scripture. They're not the

holy word of God. They're not the Bible because there is no canon. So you can

you can change those books, you could add or take away it makes no difference because either

there is a canon or there isn't and that's a really important starting point.

Our starting point as we're at this point in our series, this isn't where we started in day one of this series.

But the starting point right now is there is a canon.
