Summary

Ohio State's 2025 season had plenty of things go the way you'd expect, while a few others didn't. Now that the season is behind us, it's time to look back on all those predictions and decide who was right about what. On this Friday episode of Buckeye Talk, Stephen Means, Stefan Krajisnik and Andrew Gillis revisit their Mark It Down Monday statistical leaders prediction episode from last summer. It's a long conversation about a few things we got right and a lot of things we got wrong. but not actually make predictions,

1:11.2

but just go back and hold ourselves accountable for all the wrong predictions we made back in

August and in July before the season started. Obviously, as you guys know at this point,

if you've been listening to this pod for a few years now, the last five Mondays leading up to

the regular season, we mark down a series of different things, whether it's driving a bus, whether it's a bunch of different stats, whether it's all Americans, Heisman Trophy Award winners, the college football playoff, and every single week, we obviously make our game predictions. And so we're going to look back on all of those things. I don't think this year was as bad as last year. In fact, there are some places where we knocked it out the park. At least one of us did. And there are some places where it was like, man, we may be overestimated some things. era with college football. We do live in a new era with clock rules. We do live in a new era when

2:09.9

it comes to stats and what's reasonably possible on a year in, year out basis for whether it's

an individual or for a team. And so I am wondering some of those things. But we're going to start with our driving the bus categories. And Stefan, we're going to start by plotting you. Good job. You did the thing. Yeah, you did the thing we knew you were going to do for 12 months. And you picked Arval Reese. You put nothing on it. It was just R. Val Reese. And you know what? That's right. Because you know what it is? Yeah, you stood a business. You know what it is now. It was just R.V.L. Reese. And you know what? That's right.
