It is a really humid morning here in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, which is typical for this time of year, but we've had some rain move through earlier this morning. In fact, I've got my umbrella in my back pocket because there's a decent chance that before our 10 minute walk is done that it'll start

raining again anyhow and I'm walking through the wooded area so it's just it's sticky it is sticky

this morning you can also I don't know if you can hear them there's's the tree frogs. And just ahead in the clearing.

A couple of baby deer.

It looks like there are four?

2020 is one of those years, when I look back on my life, at least from this perspective,

2020 was one of those years that was pretty pivotal, pretty important, and some pretty amazing things

happened. Also, some pretty bad things happened. At the end of the year is when Ava was in her car

accident. A few months before that, a couple of months before that, we bought the house that we live in

now here in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. And for a couple of months before that,

we were in this limbo. We had sold our house in Maryland, and we were waiting for the financing

to go through. And the first buyer, the financing fell through. The house had to go back on the market.

That was pretty stressful, incredibly stressful.

It was also in 2020 that this podcast began.

It was a different form.

I had been doing a weekly blog, Walking Is Fitness, and decided, why not turn it into an audio podcast so people could listen to it as they were walking.
