David and I are joined as usual by the Athletics, Adam Crafton,

and also Rob Tanner with us for this pod.

Obviously, after the weekend that Leester had winning the FA Cup,

there's a big read on the Athletic from Rob that shares the inside story

on how they did that.

It's not even the culmination of a long journey.

It's just part of this journey, isn't it?

I mean, you, Rob, have been writing about Lester for over a decade.

It's been an incredible journey. I mean, I started covering the club in 2009, and shortly after

the owners came in, took over the club. At the time, Milamandrich was the chairman, and it was a very

different club. It was down to its bare bones. Everything was being cut back. It was being modelled so it looked good on a balance sheet for somebody to come here take over.

And I remember the press conference when they came in and we didn't know much about them at all.

And there'd been so many examples around of how overseas ownerships had really gone terribly wrong,

most openly at Cardiff when the bluebirds were turned red.

And there were so many other examples.

And we did fear this was going to happen at Leicester.

But straight away, they sort of cherished the heritage of the club.

Even though it's a club that hasn't won a lot at all through its history,

it's real history really bouncing between the top two divisions.

But they seem to embrace it still.
