6th. So, Kimberly, what's in the news? Nothing much. None happen. None big.

All right. Thanks for coming to our podcast. This is like, this is one of the first time ever,

I think, that neither one of us has actually put any news links in the script.

Because there's only one story, obviously, which is the outcome of the election yesterday.

And the mandate that the American people have given Donald Trump and the Republicans, because it's truly a mandate that, yes, this is what America is, or at least more than half of the voting America.

And we're still waiting to hear uncontroll the House, but control the Senate.

And it is a shift.

It is a big shift for what our country is going to be doing and I think how we have to talk about the country. I think that's exactly right. This country has moved to the right in ways that the

Democratic Party and many other observers simply missed. And to quote Tamara Keith from from Morning

Edition this morning, the Dems are going to have to have a reckoning, you know?

They're going to have to go out into the wilderness for a while and figure out what they're going to do about it.

And this is what the Republicans did in what, like 2012?

Yeah.

I was trying to think, though.

Did they really, I mean, they did this whole, they had the whole

post-mortem and it was like actually a big document and everything. Did they actually do anything

with that? I guess they kind of did. They shifted their focus entirely to state houses and

down-ballot races. And they did a slow, steady march for control of state legislatures all over the countries.
