From Washington, I'm Chuck Todd and this is the Chuck Todd cast.

So we are now firmly in the trial portion of the

campaign cycle. We knew there was going to be a period where the

trials would be the dominating feature of the campaign and we are in the

middle of it. True, we may not get the classified documents case

or the insurrection case before voters head to the polls.

We are awaiting a Supreme Court ruling on immunity

to find out for sure.

But last week we did see Trump playing defense in both the

US Supreme Court and the confusingly named New York Supreme Court, which is the technical

setting for the New York State's trial court level and that's of course

where the actual trial of Trump right now is for the hush money case. So later

in this podcast I'm going to talk about all things Trump legal with Laura Jarrett she's NBC News's senior this NBC News as well and before we get to that discussion I want to let you know that
