In the words of my guest today, it is safe to say that the first 100 days of Donald Trump's second presidency

will be considered the most consequential of any in modern history.

The start of the second Trump term has been a whirlwind, to say the least.

Trump has gone faster and further than last time,

and from his detractors' point of view, caused more damage than they might have ever imagined.

But even though it seems like everything is going his way,

could this come back to bite him?

Doug Sosnick was an advisor to President Bill Clinton from 1994 to 2000, who has worked with more than 50 governors and

US senators, and he joins me today to discuss how Trump's actions could eventually backfire.

Doug, welcome to the bunker. It's great to be here. Thank you for having me.

Doug, can I start by asking you something potentially obvious but that's quite big?

What marks this 100 days out from Trump's last first 100 days and really any other president's first 100 days?

Well, just to go back quickly to why we're talking about the first hundred days. This goes back to the early

1930s when FDR took office. And within the first 100 days of his presidency, he had passed

through legislation most of the New Deal. So that became all of a sudden a benchmark of measuring

presidents. So we've been measuring presidents since a benchmark of measuring presidents.

So we've been measuring presidents since the invention of modern polling in the 1950s.
