It's the media buzz meter with Howard Kurtz.

Well, the Yankees got clobbered by Toronto,

knocked out of the playoffs last night,

managing to win a grand total of one game in this series.

So Yankee haters across the country can rejoice.

They just played badly, and Toronto played great.

And Toronto was the better team.

But they left bases loaded in the eighth inning.

It left all the men on base that was sort of a microcosm of what the series has been.

Barry Weiss was here in Washington yesterday for a show, which I went to. It was a hour and a half

conversation with the guy named Palmer Lucky, who is a, has a company that makes weapons, but he's also

a Silicon Valley tech bro. And he was hysterical. I mean, he was really, really funny.

In addition to,

they discussed a lot of high-minded stuff,

and the place was packed.

And afterwards, there was an after-party where people seemed to attack the dessert tables

with the ferocity of folks who maybe hadn't eaten in three days.

I don't know. but it was very enjoyable.
