Welcome to the show. Ever since Kamala Harris became the presumptive Democratic nominee

in the 2024 presidential election, everyone has been scrambling to get a clearest sense

of her policies, not just how they differ from

Donald Trump's, but also if there's any daylight between her and President Joe Biden, her current

boss. The word vibes has come up a lot in this election cycle, and Harris clearly has good

vibes. Her 11th hour candidacy has supercharged this campaign.

And the vibes are extremely excellent.

And that is showing up in the polls as well.

According to a new survey conducted by the Financial Times

and the University of Michigan Ross School of Business,

more Americans trust Harris to handle the U.S. economy than Trump.

It's not by much, just a percentage point difference, but it marks the first time since the

survey began about a year ago that the Democratic nominee was ahead of Trump.

Now, vibes are not unimportant, but the Harris campaign realizes they need to add more detail,

and we are expecting them to do just that in the coming days, particularly on inflation,
