Good morning everyone and welcome back to another morning with the masters where we devote

ourselves to the Lord daily with you. Good morning, guys. We're picking up with a new devotional

in the Bible app called what doesn't mean to worship and there's a link to that in the description

of this podcast. If you guys want to follow along with us and as always I'm going to read the

scripture and then Tori's going to pick up with the diva. Let's do it. The scripture is

Psalms chapter 71 verses 7 and 8 and it says this, my life is an example to many because you have

been my strength and protection. That is why I can never stop praising you. I declare your glory

all day long. Hmm. The devotional is titled What is worship? And it says,

merriamwebster.com defines the word worship in this way to honor or show reverence

for as a divine being or supernatural power to regard with great or extravagant respect,

honor or devotion. In the Christian world, the word worship is often used to describe an event we

will attend or the music part of a church service. We may use this word to explain what kind of

song we're listening to or the type of pastor or role one holds at a church staff.

It's not that those are incorrect. They just don't represent the whole picture.

Worship is not about music instruments or an event. It's not about a type of song or a job

description. It's so much more than that. Worship is a heart posture. In the simplest of terms,

worship is a scribing unspeakable value and displaying substantial love to something.

That thing may be a deity or an ancient artifact, a material possession or a human being,

regardless of what the thing is that we are worshiping, we are all worshipers. So the question is

what are we worshiping? On any given day, we direct our adoration and devotion to some theme

or to someone. It could be our careers, our spouses, a hobby, or a drive to learn more.
