Good morning, friends and enemies.

0:02.0

Welcome into the very last WaverWire show of the fantasy football season.

0:07.3

It is week 17.

0:08.3

If you are watching this, you are alive and well and you are in your championship matchup.

0:13.2

Now, today's video will be going over some player analysis, but also some strategies about how we're approaching this week's waiver wire,

0:21.7

because it's not only as important to grab the right guys to mold your lineup, but it's equally

0:27.0

as important to look at the opponent's lineup and block them from securing the best lineup

0:32.9

possible. So this is a chess game in week 17. So let's set up the board. Let's set up the pieces and let's talk about it. So the very first thing I want you to do is look at who you're playing against. Find the biggest weaknesses in your lineup and then match them to your waiver wire. Go see who the most likely candidates are for them to pick up. And since it's

0:55.8

week 17, this is the final week. It doesn't matter who you drop, as long as your opponent is not

1:01.2

going to pick them up and play them. So if you've been holding on for high upside guys, handcuffs,

1:05.7

receivers that are your fourth receiver and your opponent already has three solidified wide receivers and there's

1:11.5

no way he's going to start this guy. Those are all drop candidates for you. If you have fab

1:16.5

left over, you could use it all on this week. And I'll give you a little bit of an example of that.

1:21.5

This week in your idiot league mates, I'm in the championship and I'm playing against Jack.

1:26.1

Now, Jack's team has studs at the running back position. His team is so good that if Emmanuel Wilson ends up being the starter, if Josh Jacobs is out, he can't even put them into his lineup because his running back room is that good. So when I look at my team and I'm looking at my roster, I'm like, A Chan, Swift, cool. My other running backs are Kalmanungai, Kreme Hunt, Rico Dattle.

1:45.6

All three of those guys are drop Kavanaugh for me. It's like, sure, I don't want to drop Rico Dahl if I don't have to. I don't want to drop Kalamongai if I don't have to. They're not getting into my lineup this week, and I know that Jack can't put him into his lineup, so I don't care that they go and hit the wire. His team, he's got Drake May as the QB1, but his QB2 is

2:02.3

Cam Ward. Now, Cam Ward's coming Drake May as the QB1, but his QB2 is Cam Ward.

2:03.1

Now, Cam Ward's coming off of a good game, but do you trust him in the championship as your QB2? This is a super flex league, so we start two quarterbacks. Therefore, last week I actually picked up Gino, not because I'd ever play him, because I have T. Law, Brock Purdy, and Stafford who all put up 31 pieces this week. But because I knew that Jack needed a quarterback two next week. It's Cam Ward versus the Saints, and maybe he's going to be a better option than Gino. But I know Gino plays against the Giants at home. And the off chance that he picked up Gino, started him over Cam Ward, and that was a difference maker. I went ahead and preemptively made that move. So that's what you're going to be doing today. If your opponent needs a quarterback too, I know Jack does.

2:36.8

Malik Willis is sitting on our waiver somewhere. So Malik Willis would be a guy that I go and try and block. He also needs wide receivers bad. So I would look at our wide receiver position and say, hey, maybe I go grab a Matt Collins. Maybe I go grab Trey Tucker or try to at least to block Jack from having that as an option.

2:51.5

So that's first and foremost what I want you to do.

2:53.7

Again, chess games here. Same thing with defenses. You might want to pick up two or three of them if it blocks your opponent from having the best one available. So we can get into the actual player analysis now. And as we always do, we go through the trending up, trending down tab and talk about guys that I think are worth picking up that are owned in fewer than 50% of sleeper leaks. Now, the top running back room to probably talk about right now is the Cleveland Browns. We have Quintan Junkins who breaks his leg. He's going to be out for the remainder of the season. What does that leave us with in the backfield? On Sunday, it was Rahim Sanders, who was an undrafted free agent rookie this year.

3:25.6

Big body dude, 220, 230 pounds. us with in the backfield. On Sunday, it was Rahim Sanders, who was an undrafted free agent
