Summary

Gen Z is showing surprising signs of revival—but will it last? As young people flock back to church, the future of their faith may hinge on how parents, pastors, and mentors respond right now! Frank teams up with certified apologist and former California public school teacher, Shanda Fulbright, to discuss some of the challenges associated with discipling the younger generation and what parents can do to help kids ground their beliefs in facts instead of feelings. Together they answer questions like:* What does recent research say about Gen Z becoming more interested in Christianity?* What do Jordan Peterson, Joe Rogan, and Wesley Huff have in common?* What recent cultural events and trends have contributed to more young people embarking on a truth quest?* What are the dangers associated with winning people to Christianity based solely on emotion?* Why do young people need evidence to stay grounded in their faith?* What role should parents and the church play in discipleship?* What is the best age to introduce apologetics to your child?* What are some practical tips for helping young people discern truth from error?* Why should doubts be welcomed and expressed? If you’re a parent, mentor, or simply care about the future of the Church, you won’t want to miss this practical conversation along with Shanda's course for middle school students, 'Let’s Get Real: Examining the Evidence for God'! The PREMIUM version starts on MON. 9/8 and includes 13 LIVE Zoom sessions with Shanda, or you can guide your child through the SELF-PACED course at any time during the year!Resources mentioned during the episode:Let's Get Real: Examining the Evidence for God - https://bit.ly/4mCQrVB (https://bit.ly/4mCQrVB)ShandaFulbright.com- https://www.shandafulbright.com/ (https://www.shandafulbright.com/)WesleyHuff.com (http://wesleyhuff.com/) - https://www.wesleyhuff.com/ (https://www.wesleyhuff.com/)Apologetics Canada - https://apologeticscanada.com/ (https://apologeticscanada.com/)

Ladies and gentlemen, C.S. Lewis said Christianity, if false, is of no importance.

And if true, of infinite importance. The only thing it cannot be is moderately important, unquote.

He's exactly right, ladies and gentlemen. If Christianity is true, there's not a more

0:23.4

important fact in the universe than Christianity is indeed true. Jesus did rise from the dead

0:29.7

and that you can not only be forgiven, but given his righteousness right on into eternity,

0:36.1

you will be an heir to the kingdom of God if Christianity's true.

0:40.3

If it's not true, then it's of no importance at all. The only thing it can't be is moderately important.

0:46.4

And this is very consistent with what Paul said, as you know, in the 15th chapter of 1st Corinthians. he says, if Christ has not been raised, our preaching

0:58.0

is useless and so is your faith. If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are

1:02.9

still in your sins. But thankfully, Christ has been raised. The problem is a lot of people either

1:09.2

don't know the evidence for it, think the

1:11.5

evidence isn't there, or have been, easy for me to say, or have been deceived to believe that

1:18.8

the whole thing is made up or it's legend or that kind of thing. And if you're a parent and Christianity

1:25.8

is indeed true, you certainly want your kids to know this

1:29.8

truth and be able to defend it. And what we're going to talk about today is how you can do that.

1:34.7

And we're also going to see, is it true that people are coming back to faith? Because there

1:39.3

seems to be in the past year or two a number of indications that there's a revival going on among Gen Z,

1:47.3

who are Gen Z, people in high school and college, basically, that people are coming back to Christianity.

1:53.0

Is that really true?

1:54.2

And if so, what can we do to continue that trend?

1:58.7

And what can we do to ensure that young people have the evidence

2:02.6

they need in order to withstand skepticism? And my guest today, she's been on the program before,
