My name is Will DeFries and this is the Sunday Scaries Podcast. You are here for the Sunday Blues.

We're kind of at a crossroads right now. Last week we spent Wednesday through Sunday eating and drinking everything in sight for Thanksgiving.

0:21.6

And today we're staring down the barrel of a gun that includes a month filled with holiday parties,

0:25.7

eggnog, whiskey drinks, and more holiday parties. Once 2022 hits we'll go through the same process we go through every single year.

0:32.7

We consider doing dry January even though all crashing to flames come that first week and when the boredom gets to us,

0:38.7

we'll make a bunch of health-driven New Year's resolutions that we hope no one remembers come February.

The first is something you've probably been already familiar with. Ultra urban farming, even if you're not familiar with that, simply put,

1:24.7

it's growing crops by using natural sunlight and 100% renewable electricity.

1:29.7

Think of your butter lettuces, your mushrooms, and your normal garden herbs like basil.

1:34.7

Is this kind of a big thing as a surprise to anybody? Well, not really given the current climate,

1:39.7

but if you don't feel good about buying some Aero Farms micro broccoli or some upward farms organic microgreen mixes, then I'm not sure what to tell you.

1:47.7

Next on the list, we have something called Yuzu, which you've probably heard of as well.

1:51.7

Something I'm largely unfamiliar with myself, Yuzu is a citrus grown mainly in Japan, Korea, and China.

1:57.7

And with a flavor that falls somewhere between lime, lemon, and grapefruit, Yuzu is probably something a lot of us has seen on the label, but don't actually know that much about.

2:05.7

Whole Foods notes that it's been popping up in vinaigrettes, hard sellsters, mails, and more, so maybe time to add some citrus flavors to a meal without actually eating the fruit itself.

2:14.7

And in that same breath, they're also giving a nod to high biscuits being one of the main flavors we'll see all next year.

2:20.7

I was recently told that drinking to my biscuits tea might help detoxify my liver during a vacation hangover that I had.
