Do you remember him better as the Q-Anon shaman?

He was the gentleman who ran around the Capitol on January 6

with the

fur and horns and the face paint. When Mr. Chansley, the shaman,

eventually struck a deal with the government,

he pleaded guilty to just one count.

It is a count from a statute that is titled,

Tampering with a witness, victim, or an informant.

Then there is this guy, remember him?

He's Stuart Rhodes, the founder of the far right group,

the oathkeepers. Now the Oath Keepers.

Now the government tried nine Oath Keepers with seditious conspiracy,

and six of them were found guilty of it.

But all nine of them were found guilty of at least one other charge.

The same charge brought against the Q-Anon shaman and by the way hundreds of other January 6 defendants.

It's actually one of the most common charges the

Department of Justice brought against January 6

insurrectionists overall. And again, the statute is technically titled

Tampering with a witness, victim, or an informant.

But the Kiannon shaman and all those hundreds

of other January 6 defendants,

they weren't actually being accused of witness tampering.
