Okay, folks, welcome back to the Bill Bennett Show. I hope you had a great Christmas and I hope you will have a great and happy new year.

Just a few thoughts on Christmas. Yeah, I think you can say Merry Christmas again with impunity

anywhere, everywhere. I'm not sure that's solved the major and ongoing problem which is to be reminded of

what Christmas is all about the birth of Christ okay that's what it's about and

it seemed just a whole mass of things going on that were not related to that, but so be it.

We leave that up to churches and families, and I think many churches and families did the right thing.

We did. We had Christmas, we had a couple of Christmas get-togethers.

The 26th, which is Boxing Day, I am told. This is Bennett instructed me. We had

family over, my brother, Uncle Bob, the lawyer. We did not pay him his fee of $2,000 an hour.

Washington's most expensive lawyer, he came for free, but he didn't stay long.

Anyway, I'm kidding.

And wife and children and grandchildren and cousins and nieces and nephews.

Anyway, Mrs. Bennett did the 12 days of Christmas,

and it was quite glorious and the children loved it.

And we were reminded of what Christmas is all

about hope you kept that in mind as well end of your thoughts I'm going to tee off on Philadelphia is a very important place these

days, not only because of the Eagles. Too bad they lost wents because they were on their way

to the NFC Championship despite what

Chris Beach might tell you about the Vikings. But apart from that, Philadelphia

has got a lot of things going for it obviously is a great American city.

But I listen to a guy whom I actually like to watch on TV Michael Smirkonish.

He's not my cup of tea in terms of agreeing with him, but he's sweat.
