Let me introduce us.

I'm Robert Wright.

This is the right show. Available on both streaming video and via audio podcast. You are

Augustine Fuentes, professor of anthropology at Princeton University, author of a bunch of books,

including biological anthropology, concepts and connections. Sounds like a

textbook, but also why we believe evolution and the human way of being, the creative spark,

how imagination made humans exceptional, and a bunch of others. People can Google you. I encourage it.

So we've had a few, we've had two conversations, I guess, so far on my show.

The most recent one was about sex differences. It was a little debate. He was about the question, I guess you could say, whether the extent to which any observed psychological differences between human males and

females are in some sense genetically based, whatever. This is in a way an extension of that,

but I think it's not going to be so debaty from my point of view. It's mainly informational.

What it's about is you might say, for starters, the

difference between sex and gender, we're going to wind up getting into all these issues,

you know, trans issues, pronoun issues, terminology issues. This is, and I see this partly as, but not only, but partly is a, a kind of tutorial for

somebody like me who grew up in a somewhat different era.

And, and, you know, we may get a little debating, who knows, but, But you know a lot more about this stuff than I do.
