Summary

God’s favor works in our lives on many different levels, one of which is to provide what we need every day. We do not have to be perfect or work to earn His grace; we receive it as an undeserved gift because of our born-again status. Even when we sin, God still shows us grace so abundantly that it changes our minds about our behavior; it causes us to want to stop sinning and to please God. He does this by showing us mercy for things we do not deserve. Our faith, not in what we do but in what Jesus has already one, activates grace to begin working on our behalf. This frees us from constantly striving through our own efforts, and enables us to confidently trust in Jesus’ finished works. Trusting in His grace matures us and helps us to grow into the person God wants us to be.

0:20.3	to 2nd Timothy chapter 2 in verse 1. we're going to pick up where we left off
0:24.4	last week we've been talking about grace, God's provision for the believer and we
0:30.9	all of this started with us defining grace and that's what we're teaching from that definition
0:36.7	the unmerited
0:38.7	Abounding provision of the unrestrained operation of God's infinite love that works through Jesus Christ, for mankind, especially for those who depend on him.
0:59.0	Now, I know that's a big definition, but that's putting, a grace is not a great is big why is Jesus
1:06.6	grace is not a curriculum grace is a person and his name is Jesus
1:12.3	full of grace and truth.
1:15.0	So there's Jesus and then out of Jesus comes grace and out of grace comes truth.
1:20.0	So you can't declare the truth without declaring grace without declaring Jesus.
1:25.0	See we just kind of take words and we just use them.
1:27.2	We need to go and find out where they're coming from.
1:29.8	Jesus gives birth to grace and grace gives birth to truth and what happens is a church
1:36.2	if we don't know Jesus and if we don't know grace we really don't know truth
1:39.9	we're just using the word truth and not knowing what it's attached to. And so we've been
1:45.0	talking about grace, God's provision for the believer. And one of the things we've been reiterating is that grace is not merely
1:54.8	the means whereby God forgives sin. Grace is God's way of dealing with
