So Neil and I are both going to share some stories here.

I'm going to start off with one first and then I'll let Neil choose which story he

would like to share because we've all screwed up many

times on marketing so one for me is when I used to work at a startup I was leading

marketing at a startup a long time ago this is like got to be 13 years ago or

something like that and so what had happened was ago.

And so what had happened was I actually, our goal was to acquire more users for this online education startup.

And at the time, I believe when I first started, we're acquiring like 500 users a month.

And then after the first month, I think it got it up to like 1,500 or 2,000 a month or so.

So pretty significant bump.

But I wanted more growth, and that was what I was tasked with.

And so there was a deal company that reached out called AppSumo.

And so AppSumo reached out, they do software deals,

they try to get, you know, they try to run.

They'll say, hey, like, maybe you sell your software for $100.

You know, we'll sell it to our audience for $20 or so, but you're going to get a lot more customers

in return.

So you're going to get a lot more volume.
