I want to pick up where I left off on Wednesday. For those that don't know, just by way of announcement and information,

We're gonna go to Luke Chapter 9.

Luke Chapter 9 and verse 23.

One of the most famous quotations, statements, phrases ever made by Jesus. Here it is and the title of my

message today is how to take a real rest. How do you really get rest during such a, well, a solitude and such silence that so many of us are experiencing just by default during this quarantine.

How do you take a real rest? We're going to talk about that.

Luke Chapter 9, verse 23, Jesus is quoted saying this,

if anyone desires to come after me,

if anyone wants to follow me, work with me,

believe in me, receive me, he must, number one, deny himself,

take up his cross daily, Jesus says, and follow me.

It goes on in verse 25 and says, for what does it profit a man to gain the whole world,

but in the process lose his soul, lose his essence, lose his inside.
