for Mina Kim. We're going to switch gears a bit here now and talk about how to support babies and toddlers who are entering or reentering the social world post-pandemic.

Join me now to do that is Dr. Moira Szilaghi. She's a professor of pediatrics at the David Gaffin School of Medicine at UCLA.

So tell me, first of all, what effect are you seeing the pandemic have on babies or, you know, younger kids, toddlers?

Any effect at all?

It has been highly variable, I think.

For the most part, I think babies and younger toddlers are doing very well.

And I think the major reason for that is that younger infants,

you know, and toddlers, their world is largely mediated for them by their parents and their

immediate caregivers. And as long as the caregivers are managing or doing well and children do well because they take their cues from their parents.
