Summary

Approaching the Bible can be intimidating. We can easily feel overwhelmed or under-equipped. However, reading God's Word is easily one of, if not THE, most important things you can do as a couple. With that said, take heart! God is faithful to make His word accessible to all who approach it willingly. In today's episode, Ryan and Selena talked about how to overcome fears, what the Bible actually is (the canon, etc), methods for reading the Bible, and how to read Scripture together. Enjoy! 0:03.8	Do we actually believe that God's word is what it says it is, that it is actually the

0:11.1	Do we actually believe that?
0:13.0	I'm asking it rhetorically and we're going to explore that today because I know if I
0:17.9	truly believe that these were God's words, I would be consuming Scripture to know in,
0:23.6	like, voraciously.

0:25.6	I know that I will go sooner to my phone for validation than I will go to God's word.
0:30.2	For validation and as I'm saying, I'm super convicted.
0:33.1	Yeah, both are.
0:34.4	We both are, I think most people listening can attest to going to our phone before we go
0:40.9	to God's word in some instances, maybe as a default.
0:43.7	And so, yeah, if we really believe God's word is authoritative in His words, how would
0:48.8	that change our marriage and our relationship?
0:52.0	It's important for us to periodically, in our marriage and in our own personal lives
0:55.2	to revisit this truth that it gets God's word and it's useful and it's true and it's
1:00.2	authoritative and it's an errand and all these different truths about God's word and
1:03.8	how we can study that together as a couple and keep each other growing in those areas.
